THE OCEAN NEVER CLOSES
Hazy East Coast Double IPA
People's choice for Best East Coast IPA at the East West Beer Fest, this hazy double IPA this hazy double IPA was triple dry hopped with Amarillo, Idaho 7, Cashmere & Citra hops and features Pale malt, flaked oats, flaked wheat & oat malt providing a soft but potently flavored ale with notes of peach, mandarin orange & cream.
Crackery, spicy & lemony, this year’s batch of Gloves Off is brewed with Canadian pils malt, Canadian rye malt and flaked corn, then hopped with a conservative amount of Cascade and Crystal hops. Drinking this beer before playing hockey may cause a five minute major penalty, see Rule 56 on Fisticuffs.
Extra Special Bitter
Caramelly, nutty & bready, this ESB is an Austin take on an old English style in the vein of the famous Burton-On/Upon-Trent Barton Ale. Maris Otter, Biscuit Rye, Flaked Oats & Crystal 60 malts give this ale a satisfying complexity and subtle boozy sweetness.
West Coast IPA
This beer is the flipside of our The Ocean Never Closes East Coast IPA - it uses the same Amarillo, Idaho 7, Cashmere, Citra hops but we added them to the kettle rather than only dry hopping with them. It’s like these beers are fraternal twins who grew up on different coasts. The result is an updated West Coast IPA with a resiny, dank, blueberry finish.
NINJAS IN THE ORCHARD
Barrel-Aged Peach Sour
This fierce beauty was aged for a year in Grape Creek Vineyards oak barrels inoculated with a mix of wild yeast cultures & re-fermented over 500 lbs of Fredericksburg peaches. The result is a light bodied sour that starts with a bright kick of tartness & finishes with the stealthy subtle sweetness of ripe hill country peaches.
Passion Fruit Lager
For this fruity lager, we took the concept of the Dortmunder Export, a decidedly strong, hoppy golden lager style from Germany and added some wonderful hops from New Zealand and complimentary passion fruit puree. The result is a tart, refreshing & fruity lager perfect for beer garden sippin'.
This beer is a play on a pie sour beer, we used honey malt, lactose, cinnamon and wheat malt to create a pie crust flavor. Cranberry, Cara Cara orange and cinnamon were added to complete the pie.
